What the best in the world carry.
Three of the most popular golfers alive, club by club, as reported by the equipment press after their latest starts. Every club links to where it was verified. Dialed Bag has no connection to the players or the brands. We just read the same reports you do, and we know what a 15 handicap should take from them.
Scottie Scheffler
The best player in the world runs one of the oldest sets on tour. The irons and two of the wedges are pushing seven years old, the utility iron is a discontinued Srixon, and he changed drivers in 2026 for the first time in three years. He keeps what works. That is the whole lesson.

- The 7 wood. A 21° fairway wood off the deck and out of the rough is easier than any long iron you own, and the best ball striker alive carries one.
- Keeping clubs you trust. His irons are a 2019 model. If your set is fitted and you strike it well, a new badge on the back will not lower your scores.
- The 4 utility iron. It is there because he hits it 230 yards in the air. For most golfers that slot is a hybrid, and a hybrid is what we would fit you into.
- X100 shafts and a 7.8° driver. That build needs his speed to launch at all. Your fitting will land you in a stiff or regular shaft and ten degrees or more.
Rory McIlroy
Rory rebuilt half his bag for 2026 and still ended up with a set that reads like a textbook: current TaylorMade woods, blade style irons made only for him, four fresh wedges and the same mallet he has putted with since 2024. The gaps between clubs are the part worth studying.

- Four wedges from 46° to 60°, four degrees apart, with a pitching wedge that matches the irons. That is the cleanest scoring gap on tour and it costs nothing to copy.
- The 5 wood at 18°. He carries it instead of a 3 iron or a hybrid because it is easier to launch and stops faster. The same is true for you, only more so.
- The Rors Proto irons. They are a blade shape made for one player and are not for sale. The P7CB he tested is the closest you can buy, and it is still a better player's iron than most golfers need.
- Bending a 60° wedge to 61°. That is a fine tuning of one yard of carry at his level. Get the lofts right first, then leave them alone.
Bryson DeChambeau
Bryson's bag is a science project with a single purpose: every club the same length, every shaft as stiff as a fence post, and a 6° driver head from a long drive company. Almost none of it is for sale, and almost none of it would work for anyone else. It is the most interesting set in golf for exactly that reason.

- The jumbo grips. Oversize grips quiet the hands and are one of the cheapest changes in golf. If you fight a hook, try one on the driver before you change anything else.
- The armlock putter. Taking the wrists out of the stroke helps a lot of golfers who lose it from inside six feet, and it is legal, fitted and sold in every shop.
- A 6° driver. It launches for him because he swings it at 130 mph or more. For you it would be a low bullet that never carries a fairway bunker.
- Single length irons and X7 shafts. Single length only works with a swing built around one posture, and X7 is the stiffest steel made. A normal fitted set will hit it further and straighter.
- Copying a bag that changes every month. Half of this is prototype. Build yours once, from a fitting, and stop shopping.
